Junior Nick Norton is another of the famous rappers of CKHS.  Norton has grown up in a military family, which means he’s moved around all over the country and all over the world to places like Japan.  All this moving around has strongly influenced his unique style and made him the man he is today.  

Music has always been a huge part of his life ever since he was a little kid. It was around the age of 13 that he started to dream about music as a career.  “I’m usually pretty realistic, but when it comes to this, it’s the only thing I think about, and there’s almost no other option for me to pursue,” said Norton.  His very first song uploaded to SoundCloud was “Destination One” and he has come a long way from that with each and every upload.  His top hits is his “Easy” song produced by Shaypz, and his remix to known rapper, Future’s, “Commas”.  

“I think what makes Nick so unique and entertaining is his voice and his flow,” said graduate Alex Ellis. “He literally has the perfect voice for rapping.”

Norton has developed a fair amount of followers online on SoundCloud. However, his main set of fans comes from the students of CKHS and other neighboring schools.  Aside from uploading songs to the internet and other online features, Norton holds his own live concerts.  For now they are only small local shows but he, along with all of his fans, hopes he will grow and perform in front of thousands of people.  “I appreciate everyone that has shown support, it’s honestly been unbelievable.  When I’m on stage or out in public I feel like a celebrity more often than your average teenager, and it’s unreal.”  

He’s been working on his first EP for over a year now and it’s finally in the finishing stages.  Along with that project, he’s already got a couple of shows lined up for this summer with more opportunities unraveling each and every day.  “I’m so thankful for the love that’s been shown around both CKHS and the local community.”
