Senor Week, a week for the Seniors to remember.

The hallway is dark with mysterious purple lighting. The Egyptian coffins greet you as you walk up the stairs. Yes, you called it. It’s Senior Week! The week of celebrating for the seniors who are ready to graduate and move on to the real world. Senior hall has been transformed by the freshmen into a beautiful Egyptian themed hallway, matching the upcoming Prom.

Senior Week has been a long-kept tradition in Central Kitsap High School. The freshmen of the year, with help from teachers, decorate Senior Hall to celebrate the seniors leaving the school after this year. Senior Ella Herrmann said, “The Senior Hall looks great!”It is a welcoming sight for seniors since it represents a near end to their toils in high school.

However, seniors will miss the school in which they spent most of their teenage years. Senior Brennan Dour said, “I am nostalgic for the past years.” The school, to lessen the grief of the seniors, prepares treats during each day of the week, which seniors can grab every morning. This year they had donuts, cookies and milk, otter pops, a chocolate fountain, and root bear floats.

Senior Brennan Dour wants to “get the most out the remaining weeks.” The seniors might be ready for the big wide world or maybe not. But they should always remember the remainder of their time enjoying classes, the upcoming Prom and the final awards night. As they say every Friday, “Have Safe and Be Fun.”
