Seniors Zack Perry and Kidd Lee demonstrated their “dedication to excellence” while volunteering at the soup kitchen every Tuesday with a local Methodist church. Perry said, “It makes me feel like a good person.”

Lee said, “It made me feel great to give back to my community.” Perry said history teacher Katherine Devnich introduced them to the opportunity.

Art teacher Dawn Adams thought to recognize these students and when asked why she said, “I just feel like we spend so much time recognizing traditional things like sports, and we don’t think to recognize the people who do goods things without expecting anything in return”
