Anikka Taeza is a very, very serious artist.

The “throwing back by a body or surface of light, heat, or sound without absorbing it” is a relection and it is also the name of an annual arts contest. Today being spotlighted is senior and art-type-person, 17 years-not-dead Anikka Taeza.

Taeza has entered Reflections contest for the 4th year in a row. “I’ve entered in Reflections for the past three years, including this year, as well as other contests. It’s fun to be a part of the competition and see what other artists come up with!”

Taeza entered this year (and every other year) in the visual art category. Creating beauteous works with just wits and incredible talent, she right now is paving her way to the California Institute of the Arts. It’s one of the main reasons she works on Reflections. “I’m applying to college, so that looks good on my record.”

She added, “I haven’t won Reflections, but I’ve placed in other contests; it’s a nice feeling of accomplishment.”

Go on Taeza, keep wowing and keep creating, keep drawing, just, keep doing, as you say: “full of all the awesome snazz that I did that.”
