Prom is here, and CKHS seniors were more excited then ever to go to Kiana Lodge and break down some dance moves. This year’s theme was “The Secret Garden.” Some students believe that Senior Prom is the best way to end their senior year. “I’m really looking forward to hanging out with my friends,” said senior Kyle Hamrick.

The week leading up to Prom was known as senior week. The main hall on the third floor was decked out with decorations to make up “senior hall.” This year, seniors signed their names on leaves to be put up throughout the hall to make the prom theme “Secret Garden.”

Along with the decorations and prom, CKHS also puts on the mock crash. The mock crash is to help make sure the students are safe on the night of prom. The mock crash is very emotional for the students, “They made it look real, and Jessica Ricks’ speech made it very emotional,” said senior Kendall Washington.

The night of the prom, the music was blasting, and the strobe lights were flashing. “Prom was a night to remember, I can’t think of a better night,” said Washington. Prom was a fun experience for most students. “I do feel like prom is a great end to the senior year,” Washington continued.
