Fashion Revolution is an event to teach people where their clothes come from, and show you what the working conditions are and how we can make it better. This is why Fashion Revolution was created; it helps to educate people on who is making our clothing. Fashion Revolution has a template on their website which people can use to send an email to companies to find out who made their clothes.

People participate in this revolution by going to an event near them; there are many places posted on their website. It is also an option to simply take a picture of a clothing tag and post it on social media, such as Facebook and Instagram. Fashion Revolution is also trying to change the ways we make our clothes, because it’s exploitative and environmentally damaging, according to fashionrevolution.org.

“I feel that Fashion Revolution is a very good program, it helps people learn where there clothes were from and appreciate them more” said junior Maggie Kelly.

The theme for 2017 is Money Fashion Power. This event is a global movement that calls for safer, cleaner, and fairer production of fashion goods. The movement has reached over 92 countries, and has built a network of volunteers and passionate supporters.

To keep this event an ongoing event and keep pushing for progressive changes in the industry, the week long campaign started on April 24 with the annual Fashion Question #whomademyclothes.
