Mark Keel has been a head coach for many years at central kitsap and now he has reached a milestone that all coaches dream of achieving.

“ It means we’ve had a lot of good football players and a lot of good coaches that helped us get to this point” Keel said. Coach Keel has lead the cougars to these wins with a now 101-86-0 record proving that when Keel leads the cougars, they are more likely to come out on top.

“ He made me think more about my decision making on the field and having situational awareness instead of just running around the field like i did when i was a kid” said CK quarterback Elijah Mcgee. Mcgee is just one of many players Keel has improved on and off the field.

Keel has one main goal as head coach and the answer is just what you would expect. “ I want to turn these young men into successful men, fathers, and sons to their families and make great people out of them” said keel.

There is no doubt Keel has been successful with his goal due to all of the returning players that pay him visits all the time. “ He’s taught me about having discipline and doing things write as a man and as a father. He found a way to translate that to the football field which helps young men tremendously” said the legend himself, Howard Mcdonald who holds the record for most rushing yards in a season.

Mcdonald is speaking for all of the other young men Keel has influenced through the years of coaching.

100 wins is an impressive mark for any coach to reach but Keel’s response of staying humble and making great men as head coach shows his strength in character.
