The girls swim team has had a season to remember, with experienced captains and all the new freshman joining the team. All the swimmers worked together this season and it really paid off. Finishing off one of the best seasons for the swim team, the girls are super excited to be able to leave a great record for next years team.

Emmalee Stevenson is a freshman on the team, and was excited to join.  She said “it’s like being part of a family, we see each other at our highest highs and our lowest lows. So we get really close as the season goes on.” The swim team was successful in the meets this season. “It feels awesome to win. When we are together on bus rides home we’re all super hyped, singing and dancing.”

Being on a high school team could be intimidating for people who don’t have a lot of experience on higher level teams. Sophomore Angela Eustaquio had a good experience as part of the team. She said, “I was scared at first, but they are a great group of girls and they are really fun to be around.” The team spends a lot of time together, getting to know one another and really appreciating the sport.

The girls swim team had a strong team this year and they bonded over the time they spent on bus rides, meets, and any other time they spent together. When they are at meets, they really cheer each other on and make sure that they support their teammates. It was the support and bond within the team that led them through a successful season.
