Senior Janie Brine has big dreams for her future. She hopes to pursue a career in nursing. “I really want to go to Montana State University,” said Brine, “that would be a dream!” She thinks she will likely stay closer to home to avoid out-of-state tuition. Brine spends the majority of her free time getting a jump on her medical learning by helping out with the sports medicine team for different sports at CKHS. She mostly enjoys volunteering at football games as she gets more experience with fixing players up. Although Brine appreciates Silverdale and the things it has to offer without being a large city like Seattle, she plans to eventually move away. That is, after she gains some seniority in the medical field here. “I will probably stay in the Washington area for awhile,” said Brine. “You get paid more here and I definitely want to build my seniority [in the medical field] up.” Brine will graduate this summer and then move on to her new life as a pre-med student.
