Students at Central Kitsap High School are awaiting the new school. Certain seniors are unhappy about not being able to experience the new school. The new school and design will be better for all the students and the staff.

Senior Hannah Robinson has been actively involved with CKHS all throughout her high school years. “ I’m definitely sad I don’t get to experience the new school, but it’s also nice to have been in the same place for all four years of high school!” Hannah would like to give some positive advice to future graduating classes, “I want people to remember how important friendships really are! I am so grateful for the people I’ve met at CK and I know we will be lifelong friends! I hope future classes always remember to look out for their fellow classmates and friends!”

Senior Makailee Gemmer has thought about the new school and not getting to be a part of it. “Pretty upset honestly. We dont get to participate in any of the old traditions, and dont get to create new ones either. So we get all kinds of negatives.”  Since Makailee has been at this school for four years she knows how the school works and she has given advice for the future graduating classes. “For future graduating classes, I would say do as much as possible. You only have a few years, and it goes by so fast. So even if youre not the most popular or the most athletic or the smartest, find what makes you happy in High School and do all of it as much as possible, because its over before you know it”

Students are excited about the changes the new school will have but, the seniors have a different perspective on it. The senior class is not happy that the lowerclassmen will be getting a new school but, they are glad to be the last graduating class in this old school. “I think it’s so cool that we get to be the last graduating class of the old school! The school has been around for so long and I am grateful that the class of 2019 gets the honor of closing its doors for the last time. All students are grateful for all the work that is being put into the new school. The staff and students cant wait to move into the new school.
