“The Bad Batch“ season two first aired on January 4, 2023, and ever since had a new episode come out every Wednesday. It ended on a cliffhanger with Crosshair sending a message to our favorite batch of clones and this makes them question their loyalty.
The bad batch goes to the planet Eriadu where they need to put a tracking device on Hemlock’s shuttle to find the secret base. To do this, they go to Tarkin’s fortress where all the main generals of the empire. They land on a cliffside where they have the plan to hijack a transport on the zipline to get to the base.
Omega and Wrecker are left to put the tracking device on the shuttle. Meanwhile, the others go through the base itself and find clone wars and rogue one rebel, Saw Gerrera. Saw explains that he plans to blow up the base but our favorite clones argue that they need the base intact so Hemlock can lead them to his secret base.
Disaster strikes and they are required to flee after part of the base blows up. Saw Gerrera blows up all the detonators he threw and that also blows up Hemlock’s ship. They gather together and flee on the ski lift like transport.
While on the transport, Storm troopers from another transport start shooting at them and then they release tie fighters. One of the tie fighters shot their cart and tech is left hanging on the end of the broken cart, which leads to his dramatic and depressing sacrifice.
In the next episode, we are shown exactly where we left off with Tech’s assumed death, they retreat back where they hide at Cid’s place. Soon, Hemlock and his squadron of soldiers show up and try to capture Omega. They try to help her escape but she gives up her location and herself to let the rest of the gang live, ending the season two finale.
I am very excited for the next season along with all the other star wars fans who enjoy this show but it will not come out till 2024 on Disney plus. We can only hope things get better from here after the dramatic events on episode 15 and 16, so tune in next year for it.
