Here at Central Kitsap High School, there is a FBLA club. FBLA stands for Future Business Leaders of America. The meetings at school are every Thursday at 7:25 a.m. In FBLA, there are normal officers like the president, vice president, treasurer, secretaries, but there are also reporters and a historian, The officers are President Madi Birkenfeld, Vice President Elizabeth Young, Secretaries Christina Calma and Gabby McCracken, Treasurer Makayla Wilson, Reporters Sarah Linton and Amanda Park, and Historian Sam Christensen.

“My favorite thing about FBLA would have to be the conferences, traveling, and donuts,” said junior Makayla Wilson.

For FBLA, anyone can join. There is a $4 fee however for high school. When joined, there is a dress code for conferences. The point of the dress code is to maintain a professional image of the association and its members. It also helps prepare students for the business world.

“It’s never too late to join FBLA!”, said Mrs. Ferrate.

CK’s FBLA has a conference coming up on Nov. 14 in Seattle. It should be a great competition. The meetings are at 7:25 am on Thursdays.
