About the Contributors

Cypress Cowley, Reporter, Editor-in-Chief
Cypress Cowley is the editor-in-chief of The Cougar Chronicle and senior at Central Kitsap High School. Born in Maui and raised in Oahu, he has now lived in Kitsap County for five years. Cowley has always had a passion for writing and decided to join Journalism because he feels that it’s more necessary than ever to cover important stories and amplify voices in the community. Cypress is very passionate about music, horror, and literature.

Jacek Rovira, Reporter, Copy Editor

Dani Crossen, Reporter, Assistant Editor
Dani Crossen is a Junior in high school. She chose Journalism because she enjoys the opportunities that it provides, like going across the country to hone in on journalistic skills and being able to cover local debates. She first found out about Journalism her Freshman year and has been intrigued to continue ever since. Outside of school she enjoys spending her time writing poems and collecting cards.

Amy Ngo, Reporter
Amy Ngo is a freshman who started journalism because she believes that it is critical for different perspectives to be heard, as well as for her love of writing. Outside of school she enjoys reading, playing and listening to music, hiking, and is a member of DECA. She can play the violin, piano, and guitar. Ngo also loves learning about auto mechanics and aviation. Ngo is excited to continue journalism, hopefully, until her graduation.
