Cypress Cowley, Reporter, Editor-in-Chief
Cypress Cowley is the editor-in-chief of The Cougar Chronicle and senior at Central Kitsap High School. Born in Maui and raised in Oahu, he has now lived in Kitsap County for five years. Cowley has always had a passion for writing and decided to join Journalism because he feels that it’s more necessary than ever to cover important stories and amplify voices in the community. Cypress is very passionate about music, horror, and literature.

Dani Crossen, Editor-in-Chief
Dani Crossen is the editor-in-chief of The Cougar Chronicle and is continuing her fourth year in the journalism program. Last school year, Crossen was awarded Best of SNO for her feature story about therapy dogs, and the year before that, she was awarded Superior in the WJEA Team Project category for her story about HOSA’s community impact. Before the end of her senior year, Crossen plans to host a session about AI at the National Journalism Conference, as well as creating a portfolio full of her best work for the Journalist of the Year scholarship.

Amy Ngo, Copy Editor
Amy Ngo is a sophomore at CKHS. She has always loved writing, but fell in love with journalism for its unique opportunities to fall further into the community. Outside of school, Ngo enjoys playing and listening to music, auto mechanics, and painting. She is excited to grow as a journalist and writer, and see what experience she can gain from this school year.
