Hopefully you don’t have samhainophobia (the fear of Halloween) come October 31st because if so you may have a rough time with the night. The Halloween we know today came to the U.S. in the late eighteen hundreds and developed due to Irish citizens fleeing Ireland due to a potato famine. With an overwhelming support for the strange holiday there have become some traditions that follow. “For Halloween I’m going to be emotionally stable , No one will ever suspect its me!” Meagan Green claimed. Another student took a more traditional route Alyssa Nuno said “I plan to spend my Halloween at home spending time with my friends and doing homework. Carving pumpkins a week before and eating lots of candy!” Another student is taking a similar approach to the spooky night. Hailey Junt plans to “Hang out with my friends and watch Halloween movies and eat candy.” Candy seems to be the main subject for this holiday so just about how much candy is eaten on Halloween? Six-Hundred million pounds enough to wrap around the earth four and one fourth times.

It seems as though some people have a packed schedule full of fun plans for the candy fueled holiday.
