Senior Night
Football Team Senior Night,Sports Med And Managers
For our seniors on the CKHS football team this is their last year playing for Silverdales favorite team. A lot of great plays were made this year like Alex Refilongs 63 yard touchdown against capital and the complete blow out against oly 40-7. October 12th is Senior Night for the Central Kitsap football team seniors. Senior night is a time before the game that the players get recognized as seniors and how it is the Seniors last year at Silverdale in front of all their fans and their parents. This hits hard for everyone not only the players, it especially hits hard for the Coaches. Some of the players have been trained by the same coaches for four years and to see them go hits hard on the coaches and the staff of the central Kitsap football team.
Tyler tubbs senior and starting wide receiver said”I will miss high school football, I will miss my teammates the most out of anything they made me more social because I wasn’t really a social dude before I started playing high school football. No I didn’t accomplish everything I wanted to this year there’s just too many things to list that I didn’t accomplish.”
It’s not only senior night for the players it’s also senior night for the managers and sports med girls and guys some of them have been in the program making sure the players are in good condition to play and are healthy. They do a lot for the team from bringing out water before practice, being downstairs in the training room 30 minutes before practice starts taping people and helping them out to staying after practice tending to the players injuries using their time when they don’t need to be doing that.
Senior sports med student Clara Tedford said”I really like doing sports med for the team, it keeps me busy because i’m there 6 days a week even on saturdays I need to be there at seven in the morning for injured players that need treatment so I do honestly like it a lot besides waking up that early cause I like my sleep.”
Senior night is about recognizing all the people who put so much time and energy into this program and just recognizing the seniors one last time before the go .
