With all the chaos of searching for the perfect gift for your loved ones, it can be a little overwhelming. The holiday season is on the rise and to help everyone who doesn’t have a clue for presents this year, students have given some ideas for holiday gifts.

“I would honestly just want food for Christmas,” said Senior Chris Rozalo. Making a homemade gift for your friends and family is easy, like putting together a “care package”, filled with treats and toys and only takes one trip to the store. Another option is writing letters or drawing stuff for your friends. Letters titled “Open when you’re mad” or “Open when it’s your birthday” feels thoughtful and can help people bond with one another.

“Money is always welcome as a gift,” said one student.Teenagers in CK have many uses for money, “I always splurge on food, but I should really be saving up for other stuff,” said Freshmen Maia Ross. Students have many uses for money like colleges, stores and trinkets, or maybe even spending it on the Cougar Den here at school.

Trinkets are also really cool gifts, buying accessories for technology is great in case they need a spare, like new chargers, earphones, stereos and wall plugs. Toys from the dollar store are easily affordable and a lot of fun, like disc-shooters or hula hoops.

Giving gifts should be about how they will make the other person feel and how it will be able to help them with their lives. Holidays are great opportunities to hang out with friends and family and when the receiver gets the gift, they might just be happy that you thought of them. Gifts are nice to receive but sometimes it can be even more fun giving one.
