The medical field is very hard to get into, medical school only has a 18.1% acceptance rate. It is no easy task to get started in that field it takes a lot of time and dedication for that type of stuff you also have to have a drive and motivation to succeed which a lot of people our age don’t really have. And Clara Tedford is doing everything possible to make her chances into medical school more possible. She’s taking sports med assists the football teams and other teams before practices and games. Clara is also going to start doing doing EMT training soon to get more references on her transcript.

Other than her being heavily involved in the medical field she also is very passionate about riding her horse Sisco which she bought towards the end of last year but has considered it hers for awhile because she had leased him for the past year and had dedicated many hours to retraining him for Western gaming. She moved to New Mexico when she was in the 5th grade spent three years down there living it up and came back in 8th grade. She moved back to Washington in her 8th grade year from New Mexico, where she lived for three years. Even though she lived there for a short time, it provided her with many interesting experiences.

When asked how she felt about the adjustment moving back she said, “It was an interesting adjustment though because the types of people are pretty different. New Mexico had a rougher kind of crowd, and the people up here are more chilled out so I had to learn to calm myself down a little”.

Her and her family had some very strange experiences down in New Mexico with the people, as they are notoriously violent, which makes it obvious to why New Mexico has been declared one of the top 5 most dangerous states in the United States. After being asked about the most memorable experience she said, “My dad got in a [gun] standoff in the parking lot of a basketball game once in the most ghetto part of Alburquerque. He got pissed because this guy, who was the scorekeeper for the opposing team, and kept adding points to the other team and giving us fouls. My dad called him out, ended up getting kicked out, and then it escalated outside in the parking lot. Thankfully it got broken up, but it was really sketchy because most of the people down there carry and are really unpredictable”.

Strange things happen with her family a lot when she was in 9th grade her aunt fell ill, unbeknownst to them she actually had the black plague, which she contracted through a rodent bite. “It was a huge surprise to our family, as we thought such a disease wasn’t a threat to people anymore in these times.”said her mother, Wendy.

Clara overall had a relatively traditional up bringing, growing up with an older brother Alex and younger sister Ellie. When asked how it was growing up with Clara her sister replied sarcastically, “It was a joy, every single split second I had with her was a fairy tale.”
