Central Kitsap High School has a very wide variety of classes to select each year. Some of these classes are new this year or unknown to the majority of the students here. There are many alternate art, English, PE, history, and science classes to choose from. Some classes you may not know about are Women’s Studies, Beginning Guitar or Piano, Cisco Academy, and Composition and World Issues.

One student from the junior class, Christina Calma, takes AP Studio Art and it is her favorite class out of all the classes, “Out of my whole high school career so far I have taken a generic art class which consisted of basic drawing and painting, and I have taken ceramics and this is my second year”.

Another student from the junior class, Ashlyn Anderson, said her favorite class was history.

There are many classes to take here but could there be more? I asked Christina Calma what class she would like to add to the course selection and she said that and AP Economics class or a class based off geology or minerals would be fun to take.

Ashlyn Anderson said, “There is a broad selection of classes here, but taking polls on opinions of new classes would be a good idea”. Branching out and trying unique classes is always good for colleges to see and you could maybe even find a new interest.
