Here at CK we take pride in the various clubs that we have for students after school. Writing club is one that stands above the rest by providing a platform for students to express themselves. The club has gone through some tough times, facing a rapid decrease in membership, but Senior Victoria Steffee is determined to bring it back this school year.

Steffee has published some poetry in past years, and enjoys the safe and calm environment of write club. She hopes to get the club back on it’s feet this year, and draw in more talented writers that want to share their works. Katherine Miller, a teacher at CKHS, has agreed to help her run the club, to help students to write. Miller and Steffee both are passionate about writing, and want to help students any way they can.

Carter VanVuren
The club meets from the end of school on Wednesday to 3:30, in Mrs. Millers room. They have fun activities, creative writers and interesting conversations about each others writing and improvements that could be made. Steffee is constantly working to improve the club, and make new activities for the members.
