The weather is almost never nice in Silverdale, so when the weather is warm, students try to take advantage of it.

Spring time has just come around the corner Cougs! The weather during this season can really make an impact on students moods in school and out of school. Since it is Spring, the weather is expected to be sunny and warm, so people want to be able to wear shorts and t-shirts. However the weather here in Washington isn’t very predictable. One day the weather could be nice and toasty, but then the next week, the weather would be twenty degrees colder with heavy rain.

The spring season does have an effect on the students at CK. In a recent poll taken at CK, 134 students said that they are in a fantastic mood when the sun is out and look forward to what they can do after school on that day. In the same poll, 104 students say that they feel upset and tired when the weather is cloudy.

These graphs show the moods the weather affects students during the school spring hours.

“I love when the weather is nice outside. That means I can wear clothes that I never got to wear for the first seven months of the school year”, said junior Erika Perry.

“To be honest, I hate the sun sometimes but I also hate when the weather is cloudy because it puts me in a bad mood”, said senior Melina Polzin.

Multiple students are excited about going out on the water or going on outdoor activities during this season to prepare for the summer. The weather really does predict people’s moods so that should encourage students to just finish out the year so they could have a stress free summer.
