“Link Crew is a club that invites freshmen into high school in an exciting and engaging way. It allows others to create friendships of a lifetime and get a better understanding of what to expect in high school while trying to balance the hardships that you may encounter in the next four years,” says Denisa Gutierez, a Link Leader from the 2017-2018 school year.

Link Crew is a great program to be a part of if you want to get involved with the school! It is a program that helps the incoming freshman feel more comfortable about entering High School. It connects the underclassmen with the upperclassmen so that they can feel like they are involved and already a part of the school.

“Link Crew is a way to bridge upperclassmen with freshmen and try to keep freshmen interested in the idea of being involved,” says Dawn Adams, one of the Link Crew advisers for the Link Crew here at CK.

There are many ways to find out about Link Crew and how to get involved with it.  The announcements mention it, there are posters and flyers around the school and for some students, teachers have referred them to Mrs. Miller or Mrs. Adams (the advisers for Link Crew) to send them an application to apply. Teachers will often refer the students that they think will make good role models and will be open to help the freshmen.
