Graduation is almost here and it’s time for students to start planning their outfits! Graduation is a formal occasion and should be treated as such, but just in case some students don’t want to get all dressed up for the occasion the school has established some rules.

Graduating students are encouraged to wear nice, professional clothing to both the ceremony and the rehearsals along with their cap and gown. Students will be expected to not wear jeans, flip-flops, shorts, or tennis shoes and are expected to also abide by the schools normal dress code as well. Students that fail to do so will not be aloud to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Some students disagree with how strict the dress code is because they want to wear what ever types of shoes they want instead of having to wear fancy dress shoes. But sadly they don’t really have a choice. They do agree with dressing nice for graduation but do not want to dress up.

Clothing such as a nice dress, skirt, a dress shirt, and slacks or nice pants with nice shoes should be accepted. Parents are also expected to look nice for this ceremony. It is important that all students look their best for graduation as it is a huge milestone for many!
