Senior year can have its ups and downs, but still be enjoyable. Senior year is the year where students can have a fun time and plan their future. Seniors getting to be on top of the school, which they can be proud of. The school having events for all of the seniors, which is fun for all of the seniors. There also another side to senior year, the stress of what the seniors are going to do with there life after graduation. But what makes senior year so good, is the memories of it. Memories that will always be with the student, and that student will never forget.

“Seeing students have more fun at school-like making CKHS memes or just seeing senior friends excited for prom.” says senior Trent Stark

In students senior year, classes are important because the classes that seniors take can determine if the they can graduate and conduct what they are going to do in the future. Picking their is classes can be very important when they college because the colleges would see what classes they take and how well they do in that class. Being in those classes, help them have the knowledge to go out in the world and to know what to do in difficult situations.

“We’re being able to take classes that really helped me learn much more about the state of the world around me, and I really liked being the top of the food chain.” says senior Addie Albro

Homecoming and senior elections are a big memory for seniors because this is where they can get notice by other students from different grades. Also showing there personality to everyone, about why they should be elected. Homecoming is when seniors start there year off and meet new people that can impact their life as a senior. Seniors having fun before the stress, the planning, and getting all the credits from there classes by the end of the year.

Pep rallies are a time where seniors can show their spirit, talent, and how good they are as a whole class. Seniors celebrating there senior pride, and showing how they are the king of the school. Like the skits or the lip sync battles, giving performances by giving the different grades a run for their money.

“This is year was more fun because having friends that have been with me through thick and thin has made this year great.” says senior Josh Moore

The senior quotes is a fun thing to do for seniors because it’s memorable in a way. The quotes they say inspire someone or just make a person laugh. Part of a quote is about giving the audience there personality and something that they would say. Giving them advice about something that could be important in life. That’s something that is memorable because seniors are expressing themselves, that students would remember that them by.

Albro gives advice about the future seniors, “I would advise them to set priorities because it can easily to slip behind, if you have an important college deadline then that is more important than homework, and if you have important homework, then that’s more important than hanging out with friends. But be careful not to always focus on the due dates and the ends of things, because then you will look back and wonder where your year went, and be sad that it is over.”

Prom is a memorable day for seniors because this is where they can have fun, partying until they drop, and also spend quality time with each other before graduation. This is also a stress-reliever from all the work they’ve done from the whole year. Celebrating the year of when they go out and be themselves because once they go into the adult world, where there’s a lot of stress.

Stark explaining about the senior events that he liked, “My favorite senior event are prom and senior appreciation week (who doesn’t like free food).”

Senior week being memorable because this is honoring the seniors for their hard work throughout high school. The seniors completing school or getting a scholarship for their hard work. The Mock crash preventing drinking driving before prom and after prom. Seniors having fun decorating the halls of the school for prom. Getting delicious treats to keep them going until graduation.

Getting ready for graduation is memorable. This is the biggest thing for seniors is this very day because this is the time they can finally move on with their lives. There knowledge paying off from all the things they learned. Letting go there childhood being in elementary, middle, and high school. This is next step for them to growing as an adult.

Moore talking about his favorite event as a senior, “I think my favorite event this school has had for Seniors is the Graduation event. It’s cool because I get to leave after so many years in high school.”

Planning to go to college, is a great memory for seniors because they need to plan where they are going next after graduation. This is probably the most stressful time during the senior year. Planning, preparing, and doing the work just for the further education the they want. Whether they are deciding what they want to do with the rest of your life.

Albro explains what she’s been doing about planning college, “I had a pretty heavy course load and adding college stuff on top of that and scholarship stuff made it very stressful.”

Seniors being able to look back at what they done and cherish it is memorable. Thinking about the classes they took, what they learned, what they want to do, and what they could of done. Being senior is just not about fun, but about growing as an adult and knowing what to do after high school. Cherishing the memories that no one can take from the them and enjoying being a senior because there’s a lot ahead for them.
