17-year-old Kailan King of Bremerton has been all over. He’s played soccer for both high school leagues and club leagues as well as playing basketball when he was younger. King was put in a hospital due to a knee injury that was diagnosed to have been caused by working too hard, due to his excessive playing in both basketball and soccer. His knees began to give out and his muscles were being worked faster than they could recover resulting in his being hospitalized. He said, “I’ve always idolized Michael Jordan for his persistence and hard work and wanted to work just as hard and give it my all, but I guess I was going beyond my all.” Now King is more focused on school and his post-high school dream of becoming a mechanical engineer, and he’s now more into enjoying the home life with his pet pug.
