Farewell Judy Sorrels

2016: remember this year, because this is the last year for art teacher Judy Sorrels at CK. Sorrells is retiring after 14 years of teaching art at CK. She has been here since the class of ‘03. Sorrels has an art business she is ready to focus on.

She said, “ I don’t have just one favorite class, I like all my classes and all the students in them.” She loves passing on her knowledge to her students, so there will be more artists in this world.

She is in charge of the Pro- Life Club. Her favorite moment about the club is that her students started helping young moms and babies in difficult times. Sorrels said, “There are just too many great moments to pick just one!”

She will be dearly missed by the staff and all of her students. We all wish her the best of luck in her art business and we all will miss her. Principal Stephen Coons said, “Judy Sorrels is a great Art teacher who has inspired a number of our students to go into the field of Art. I will miss that she is a true artist who loves her craft, and also the ways in which she stepped out in leadership roles for students and causes. She has been steeped in the culture at CK for more than a generation of students, and her upbeat and friendly style will be missed by all.”
