Leanna Naji splashes the competition in her first year
With the new school year just beginning, CK Girls Swim are off to a great start to their season. On October 4, the girls traveled to Olympic High School for a relay meet against two teams, Klahowya and Olympic. The girls won in the relays dominating the competition. Senior Naji said, “I had a great time knowing that the team had all improved. Each member worked so hard to win this!”
Coach Patrick McKenzie of the Girls’ Swim said, “It’s my first year coaching the team; so far the girls have done great! They all show so much potential. If you don’t already know, this year is going to be awesome for the CK Girls Swim.”
Not only is it Coach McKenzie’s first year coaching, it’s also many of the girls’ first year swimming. Naji said, “It’s my first year swimming, and not going to lie it was difficult at first, but the girls on the team are more than supportive and made it so much easier and entertaining,Not only am I having a good first year swimming, I made a lot of good new friends too!”
