Volleyball takes a hard loss
Varsity volleyball took a hard loss on Tuesday against Capital. They won the first two sets, 27-25 and 26-24. The lady Cougs lost the last three sets, 8-25, 19-25, and 12-15. The girls came out strong in the first two sets and made it seem there was no hope for Capital to win the game. But Capital didn’t give up and made it hard for the girls.The Cougs worked hard to stay in the game but just couldn’t come out with a win. They had a devastating loss.
“We could have executed keeping the ball in better. But we definitely played hard, we came out strong and I hope we can continue this intensity through the rest of the season,” said Senior Bryce Anderson. They face-off against Peninsula High School next where they hope to correct what went wrong in Tuesday game. “ I think we will definitely make it to districts if we keep working hard,” said Senior Summer McDermed.
