Bowling
Central Kitsap high school offers many sports. One of them is bowling. Bowling is a popular sport here at CK because we don’t actually play the matches at home, we play them at the All Star Lanes bowling alley. The CKHS Bowling Team has done better this season than any other sport, they have been undefeated this season and took home CK’s first ever South Sound Bowling Tournament on Friday, January 20th. “This is the first time in 15 years since a bowling team has been undefeated,” said Coach Jeff Schmitt. This is Coach Schmitt’s last year coaching bowling and I’m sure that this was a great last season for the coach The bowling team is full of great bowlers including some veterans who have played for the past few years and have contributed a lot to the team. “ I think this has been an awesome experience”, said senior Ruth McLaughlin. This year, senior Amanda Stewmon was named to the first-team of the south sound. She had an average of 180.17 in all 24 games.
