FCCLA – Join the club!
Family Career Community Leaders of America, or FCCLA is a career technical student organization with the purpose of progressing students’ leadership skills. “FCCLA is a great opportunity to get involved in school activities, as well as gain more leadership skills,“ said Treasurer Emma Kohler.”
FCCLA is a student led club and the members are involved in community service, leadership projects, and hold a state convention, where they present all of their achievements. The club’s main event of the year is the “CK’s Got Talent” variety show. The talent show is a great way for students to come together to show off some unique talents.
To become a member of FCCLA, you have complete a family consumer science course. “This year we have 35 members,” President Rozelle Rubio said. Through FCCLA you can earn leadership experience, and plan executive events.
All of the meetings are held by the students of the club, and some of their projects that were planned for this year were creating class t-shirts, the Central Kitsap Food Bank drive, and the seasonal event for Valentine’s Day at the Crista Shores senior living home.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Central Kitsap High School and help us cover our annual website hosting costs.
