Caitlyn McConnell
Caitlyn McConnell, CK senior, is making a move on the musical scene. McConnell, who’s been singing since she was 8-years-old and began private lessons when she was 11, has expanded on her music and gone so far as to study with the Seattle Opera and apply at seven different music schools, including Curtis and Schulich School of Music.
McConnell has been training with her private trainer, Susan Trainer: “She’s pretty much like a parental figure, she’s been there the whole way and watched me grow and got me where I am.”
McConnell currently is involved in the Running Start program and finishing up with high school. She has her practices and rehearsals in Seattle, where she refines her voice and improves on her talent. She has performed alongside another CK senior, Luke Arnold, who is a talented pianist. McConnell has performed for Juilliard School. She competed in the 2014 Hal Leonard vocal competition and tied for 3rd under the early teens voices.
