Beautiful view of the green scenery!

We get two free days out of the week to go do whatever we want and go wherever we want, I asked a couple students where they like to go outside of school and what they like to do. Washington State is known for the beautiful outside scenery so that is where most people spend their time.

Everyone that lives here has to go to Seattle at least once in their life, it is the place to be. You take the ferry there, walk up to 1st and take a left, walk up till you pass the SAM, and eventually you will see a big opening with a bumpy brick road and a big sign that says “Public Market Center” in bright neon red. Drew Diefendorf, a junior, says that when he goes to the city he likes “…to just walk around and flow with the traffic of people walking to the market”. There are beautiful flowers and cool items you can buy. It is definitely a fun place to go with friends or family on one of your days off.

A lot of people here like to spend there time being outside in nature, a great place to do that is Lake Cushman. It is about an hour and a half away right outside of a small town called Hoodsport. There are tons of hiking trails, cool swimming spots, campgrounds, and you can even rent kayaks. Autumn Mullins, a junior, says she likes “…to go there because it is a nice getaway but it is also kind of close. It is so beautiful out there”. She likes to go there mostly during the summer because that is when it is perfect weather to go swimming and jumping off the rocks and bridges there with friends.

One of the most famous structures in Seattle. A must see.

When you finally get to the end of Friday after a long week of school, you should try to plan a trip to one of these places and enjoy yourself with your family or friends. Go out and try to find something you’ve never done before, live a little.
