A bag is exactly what you need to carry your supplies around

Bags are the center of an active students life. They hold papers, pencils, pens, notebooks, binder, textbooks, everything a person needs to get A´s.

The type of bag a person has is important, for a variety of reasons. A survey conducted on students across various lunches found a variety of responses concerning the three major types of bags.

The backpack, a bag with two straps across both shoulders. This is the most commonly used kind of bag in a school setting.

A shoulder/messenger bag, which is a single strap on one shoulder. Most people use these to transport laptops or tablets.

Finally, there are roller bags, which is pulled behind a person like a suitcase. People with shoulder problems or other issues use these.

The survey group was asked three questions during the survey.

1.Of the three bag types, which is the most aesthetic?

2. The most functional?

3. The most cumbersome?

For aesthetic, backpacks won by 59.3%. They can come in a large variety of patterns or fabric types. They can be ugly, practical, or the most beautiful material item a person ever laid eyes on.

Functional wise, backpacks were the winners again at 43.8%. They have a good history, and they have lots of useful compartments and zips, all in useful places according to an interviewee who wished to remain anonymous. Waterproof and reflective ones are a big thing as well, which makes them incredible for the weather in the area.

For the final question, as to which bag is the most cumbersome, roller bags received a lot of heat from 69.7% of the student body. People think they take up too much space in the hallway, that they are hazards for feet.

Some students disagree, simply choosing roller bags because they´re difficult to carry up and down stairs.

¨I don’t think they are an issue in the halls, because they are far less of an obstacle than the people hanging out in two-to-eight groups clogging the halls,¨ says junior Libby Zimsen.

There is no perfect bag. A person is unique, and their individual needs are unique. They need to pick their own bag in the end.
