Grad night should consist of student’s family and friends.

Graduation is coming just around the corner, Cougs. Considering that there will be no organized Grad Night, some students are having their own celebrations with friends and or family.

Over the school year, the ASB and other students have tried to get grad night on Bangor Base again like previous years. However, on the date that the money was due for Bangor, CKHS cancelled grad night because there were not enough seniors that signed up. Since it got cancelled, the PTSA have tried to set up a bunch of fundraisers to make their own grad night for the seniors this year. The planned Grad Night for the seniors was to go on an Argosy Cruise around the Puget Sound. Even though this was a last resort plan for the graduates, there were not as many seniors to sign up to make the trip happen.

Students be prepared to have fun after graduation with your best friends and family.

“I’m personally disappointed that Grad Night on Bangor got cancelled, but I’m even more sad that we could’ve gone on a cruise but almost none of the seniors signed up”, said senior Brooke Stahl.

Since there is no Grad Night happening this year, students are planning on throwing their own “Grad Night”. Basically right after graduation, the “Grad Nights” will turn into grad parties. These personalized “Grad Nights” are favorited by a number of students because then seniors can hang out with their certain friend groups.

“June 15th is about to be super lit! One, it’s graduation. And two, I’m going to have a grad party to celebrate with all the homies”, said senior Dominic Telemaque.

Graduation is on June 15th and Cougs make sure you celebrate with your friends and family. You only graduate high school once so make the most of it. Celebrate Cougs!
