Homecoming for the Class of 2019

On Oct 26, we will be introducing the class of 2019´s homecoming court or ¨royal family¨.These 20 people were chosen because they give the school a sense of leadership. While you may know some of the people on the court , we want to give you a little profile on all of the court members.

Autumn Mullins–a member of the homecoming court. Autumn spends most of her time playing soccer both club and for the high school. After graduating, she plans on attending a college in California to study criminology. What she will miss most about high school is her friends. Autumns role model is her dad, ¨he helped me to purse soccer,” she claims. Autumns advice for underclassmen is to ¨join clubs and stay involved.”

Christina Calma– she spends her time dancing and creating videos for YouTube. After graduating she wants to become an art director and network marketer. The thing she will miss most about high school is making new friends. Christina´s role model is her dad because he is her best friend. Christina’s advice to the underclassman is ¨Don’t be afraid to be yourself.”

Alyssa Erickson–she spends her time painting ,reading, working with nonprofits and leading youth groups at church , all while serving as Miss Kitsap of 2018. Erickson plans on attending a 4 year university to major in communications and minor in pastoral studies . when asked what she would miss most about high school she said, ¨probably the sense of community that CK brings and being able to see my best friends everyday¨. Alyssa’s role model would be her mom because she ¨embodies every characteristic that i intend to demonstrate as a friend , mother and women¨. Alyssa´s wise advice to any underclassmen is ¨CK is just a place until you make it yours by getting involved.

Gavin Cashmore–he enjoys playing sports such as soccer and swim. Gavin´s plan after high school is to go to college, however he will miss seeing his friends everyday at school . Gavin´s role model is his grandpa¨because he is the smartest guy i know,¨says Gavin. If he had to give the underclassmen any advice it would be to ¨not scream in the hallways.”

Avery Schuette–his hobbies are hanging out with his friends and playing for our schools football team. After graduating he plans to attend college ,but will miss seeing his friends. Avery´s role models would be his parents “because they both work very hard.” His advice would be to ¨always do your homework.”

Kaili Enyeart–she spends her time playing volleyball. After she graduates she plans on attending a 4 year university but she will miss seeing her friends everyday. Kaili´s role model would be her grandma because she is the nicest person shes ever met. Kaili´s advice to underclassmen would be ¨get involved in as much stuff as you can.”

Jasmine Lee–in her free time she enjoys baking, hiking, and spending time with her friends. Next year after she graduates, Jasmine plans on attending Brown University to study science and medicine, while also competing for their gymnastics team. Jasmine’s idols are both of her parents. ¨They have taught me everything about love, respect, and integrity. My mom is strong, dedicated, and does more for me than I could ever repay. My dad is the most genuine, hard-working person I know and I admire the fact that he never lets anyone get in the way of his goals,¨she states . If Jasmine was to give any advice to the underclassmen, it would be to ¨cherish every moment. No matter how stressful or crazy high school can be, it goes by in the blink of an eye. So don’t forget to live a little, learn a lot, and make the most of every day!¨

Ryan Nguyen–while he works very hard to obtain his responsibilities as ASB president, he also plays the piano. He has been playing for 13 years now and has really grown to love music and growing as a musician. Ryan is also a huge Star Wars fan, and has a Lego Star Wars collection that has been growing ever since he was little. After graduating Ryan plans on attending a four year university, possibly to purse a career in medicine, however that is not his final plan because he intendeds on just ¨going with the flow.” When asked what he will miss most about high school, Ryan stated ¨I will miss my friends and all of the relationships that I have build and developed with my peers. I will always cherish my time here at CK and the memories made here will never be forgotten.¨ Ryan’s role model would be his dad because he has taught him the fundamentals of being a good leader and all around good person. “I aspire to be like him, working from the bottom to the top¨ he says. Ryan’s advice to underclassmen is to “branch out and make friends, and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. You have one shot at high school, might as well make it count and make those memories!¨

Bella Capuano–in her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball. After she graduates she plans on attending a four year university such as Utah state or Baylor, and studying aviation to hopefully become a pilot. When she leaves the school Bella claimed she¨will miss all of the spirited events that high school has to offer such as being in ASB and participating in homecoming skits and lip syncs. I’ll also miss the spirit week leading up to homecoming and of course all of the school dances!¨ Bella´s advice to any underclassmen is:¨take every opportunity and go with it!!¨.

 

 

 

 

Isriel Rojo–his main hobbies would be camping or working on computers. After graduating Isriel is looking into working for the shipyard. When asked what he would miss most about attending high school Isriel said ¨What I’ll miss most is the memories I’ve made here, and the people that I’ve known for years only to most likely never see them again. Isriel´s role model would be either his mom or his grandpa.¨My grandpa grew up very poor, but eventually joined the US military to gain his citizenship during the Vietnam war. My mom had me during her senior year at high school yet got through nursing school working through all of this,¨ he said. If he had to give any advice to the underclassmen it would be ¨make the best out of highs school. We’ll never be here again.” * Isriel did not included picture in time for this article.

Taylor Sims–her favorite hobby is swimming. After she graduates Taylor plans on swimming at a school in California and majoring in marketing and Spanish. What she will miss most about high school is ¨being around my friends every day and having them live so close to me.” Taylor has two role models, Christina Calma and Matyas Kisiday. ¨Christina inspires me to always be myself and find good in every situation, and Matyas inspires me to work hard in everything I do and to constantly better the person I am.” If Taylor had to give any advice to the underclassmen it would be ¨ stick to who you are and don’t follow what other people say/ do. In four years you aren’t gonna see these people again and you are the person who determines your future, not anyone else.¨

 Fritz Humm–he doesn’t have a ton of time for hobbies, especially during the school year, but for the most part he loves spending time with his friends and sleeping. ¨I probably spend way too much time on Youtube…¨ Fritz states. After graduating, he hopes to attend a four year university where he plan to study some form of engineering. His goal at the moment is to study aeronautical engineering. When asked what he would miss most about high school Fritz said, ¨I’m definitely going to miss the people. It makes my stomach hurt to think about what life will be like once we all go our separate ways. While I know it has to happen at some point, it’s still not easy to know that one day we just won’t be all together anymore.¨

Woon Na–his hobbies are hanging out with friends , watching YouTube videos and exercising. After graduating, he plans to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor and attending a four year university then medical school. When asked what he will miss most about high school he stated that he¨will miss my friends and teachers with who I have developed bonds over the four year.” When asked if Woon had to give any advice to the underclassmen, he said that ¨you hear all the time about how Junior and Senior years are hard and awful, but it will be fine if you find ways to enjoy life during that time. Just remember to enjoy your high school experience sometimes.”

Alexa Watson–her hobbies are, playing piano, going to the gym and petting her dogs. After graduating Alexa plans on going to a four year university and studying to eventually pursue a career in medicine. Alexa will miss being involved in ASB and getting to be in the skit/lip syncs the most after leaving high school. When  asked what her advice would be for underclassmen Alexa advised ¨try to enjoy each moment of high school and make it the experience that you want it to be, because before you know it you’ll be graduating and you don’t want to look back on your time in high school with regret.”

Emma Anderson–her hobbies are baking and playing lacrosse. After graduating emma plans on attending a four year university, however she will miss her friends when leaving. Her role model would be Kylie Kluge because “she is the greatest friend anyone could want.” Her advice to any underclassmen would be to ¨walk on the right side of the hall.”

 

 

 

 

 

Andrew Zetty–his hobbies are golf and eating. After graduating he plans on attending Western Washington University. Andrews idol would be his mom because ¨she is very nice.” If Andrew had any advice for the underclassmen, it would be ¨don’t do the juul stuff . Kaija Corry–her hobby is playing volleyball . After graduating she plans on attending a 4 year university and being on the path of med school. When asked what she would miss most about high school Kaija said , ¨i will miss the connections that i have made with people.” Kaija has two role models both her mom and her sister .¨They both demonstrate what is means to be  a strong women who works hard for what she wants,¨ she stated. If she was to give any advice to the underclassmen, it would be ¨build relationships with your teachers because they are there to help you.” * Kaija did not include photo in time for this article. 

 

Matthew Abaga–his hobbies are playing video games, karate and singing. After graduating he plans on attending Olympic College to study acting. Matthew will miss being in the original school building most about high school. If Matthew had to choose one idol out of his many idols it would be Asher Angel , a young actor, because he likes his music and all of his work. Matthew’s advice to underclassmen is : ¨be kind, be courageous, be YOU.”  *Matthew did not included a photo for the article.

Ariana Shindell–her hobbies are spending time with family and friends and working. After graduating she plans on attending a school for cosmetology. She won’t miss much about high school but will miss most of the people she met here. Ariana’s role model would be her mom for showing her how to be mature and work hard for the the things that she wants in life. If Ariana had to give any advice to the underclassmen, it would be “don’t feel pressured to be like other people, just be yourself because you are the only you in the world¨. *
