Universal Studios continues to expand the “Jurassic World” series and I’m here for it. With the latest trailer drop of “Jurassic World Rebirth,” fans feel as if the dinosaurs are being exploited for cash. But if done right, the “Jurassic World” franchise will last quite a while.
“Jurassic World Dominion” is the third installment of the franchise. While the film was incredibly successful, many fans often complain about the story, calling it a nostalgic cash grab. If “Jurassic World Rebirth” gives us our promised fresh story and characters, the franchise should continue on successfully.
With only trailers and no pre-premiers, there’s mixed feelings for the upcoming movie “Jurassic World Rebirth.” Some fans believe that “Jurassic World Rebirth” might end up like “Jurassic World Dominion,” a lazy cash grab that relies heavily on nostalgia for a successful movie.
I don’t believe this is true at all, as based on what the trailer showed us, there are no returning characters or settings. Instead of using the usual Chris Pratt or pulling out the original actors for nostalgia factor, the movie is using a fresh new set of characters.

As for the settings, instead of using a familiar location like one of the islands from a previous film, “Jurassic World Rebirth” is using a new island, with new dinosaurs as well. I just wonder how many new islands they can introduce until they run out of places to call InGen’s actual first test site.
Now the island idea would have worked if it wasn’t for “Jurassic World Dominan’s” main point, that “Life always finds a way,” said by Ian Malcom. This was because dinosaurs had inhabited the entire planet. However, “Jurassic World Rebirth” immediately dropped that fact and stated the only dinosaurs left are on this new island.
Although the reason why all the dinosaurs are dead is pretty realistic, because the earth doesn’t have enough resources to sustain them, the entire point of the previous film was that the dinosaurs will find a way to live no matter what, just for all of them to die in “Jurassic World Rebirth.” This statement made tons of fans believe the series is truly getting milked for any cash Universal Studios could get their hands on.
But fans still have their hopes up for “Jurassic World Rebirth.” Ask any “Jurassic World” fan what they think of “Jurassic World Dominion,” they might say the story is dumb, but they still love all the action. “Jurassic World Dominion” was action packed and had me on the edge of my seat the whole film, which is something I wish to see with the release of “Jurassic World Rebirth”
I loved every moment of it, from introducing new dinosaurs such as the Therizinosaurus and the Giganotosaurus, to bringing back previous characters like Alan Grant and Ian Malcom. Watching “Jurassic World Dominion” with family made this experience even better. It was so much fun watching all the action packed scenes, especially with the final fight between the Giganotosaurus and the Tyrannosaurus rex.
So, even with the little knowledge we have on “Jurassic World Rebirth,” based on the experiences other fans and I had with “Jurassic World Dominion,” the film looks very promising. The trailer showed so many cool, suspenseful, and thrilling moments. this had me eagerly waiting for more dinosaur packed action, especially when the return of both the notorious Quetzalcoatlus and the beloved Spinosaurus were shown in the trailer.

I watch “Jurassic World” films for the action, for the amazingly realistic CGI dinosaurs, and I watch it for the amazing characters that shaped me when I was little. That’s what I believe what “Jurassic World” really is. A movie that’s for the fun times with family and friends, it’s for enjoyment.
Sure, they do need a good storyline to reach all these points, but they still hit them. The story is still interesting and great, especially compared to actual flopped films. “Jurassic World” should continue with its mindless violence, its amazing characters, and everything else amazing about it.
