The FCCLA Talent Show
Whether it was beatboxing, dancing, or singing, the students of CK showed off their unique skills at this year’s talent show held by FCCLA. The show began with MCs sophomores Jacob Leggett and Trevor Cook warming up the crowd with a hilarious intro, filled with jokes and an outline for the first act. Clayton Amundson was the first to take the stage. He performed a beautifully done lip-synced rendition of Frozen’s “Let it Go.” Throughout the show, the impressive acts proved CK’s ability to entertain a crowd. A group who call themselves, “The Stunning Six” (Seniors Emily Byron, Ella Herrmann, Athena Nidoy, Ethan Albro, AJ Tower, and Jordan Eller) sang an alluring Pentatonix song called “Run to You.” Every note was locked in with precision and without error.
Along with dancing and singing, the talent show exhibited unique talents such as “Raf the Asian Kid (Sophomore Rafael Gibson).” Last year at FCCLA’s talent show of 2015, Raf showcased his rapping capability with his song “Part 1,” coming back this year with “Part 2.” The crowd went wild as he walked out onto the stage. “I think the school’s second talent show was a lot better than the first, it was much more successful and attracted a much bigger crowd” said, senior Ella Herrmann. Throughout the rest of the talent show, the crowd clapped, cheered and laughed as CK students showcased their incredible talents.
