Naisa Roman, Contributor
New to this state from California is junior Naisa Roman who is 17 and currently taking Journalism. Part of a military family, she has moved around quite a lot with her family who is of Mexican heritage and she is in touch with her Mexican Culture. Roman and her family celebrate Mexicans holidays like Day Of Dead where they respect their dead, although they haven’t since arriving in Washington state. She also celebrates Cinco De Mayo where she gets to eat delicious foods like arroz con leche, rice pudding which is thick and creamy rice with a little bit of cinnamon and is a dessert.
Roman lives with her parents, along with four younger brothers that drive her crazy. One brother is especially annoying because her family had to put locks on their cupboards because the little brother would sneak in to eat all the food; it would be annoying for anyone to unlock and lock their cupboards to get to their food. She loves Mac N’ Cheese but her family mainly eats rice and beans for their dinner. Her favorite movie is Lilo & Stitch. Her family also has a dog, Stella. Roman drives around in a Dodge Durango but is a fan of old classic cars.
