Sports Med. team wraps players calves and ankles before game

Central Kitsap High School played an amazing game against Gig Harbor High School September 30th. Sports Medicine Coach Ken Ahlstrom and the team headed to the locker rooms to help the boys get their legs, arms, fingers, and calves wrapped before heading out onto the field. After that, they filled the water bottles. During the game, the girls stood on the sideline holding the water bottles getting ready to give the team water when they needed it. They also had  small heat pads for players’ hands while they waited on the sideline.

CKHS fought with all its might and power, in the end losing to GHHS. On the field, the boys showed how hard they played. At the end of the game, only a few players had minor injuries. There were no major injuries to worry about. Over the course of the game, running back DeAndre Sincere and quarterback Tyler Tubbs both got the wind knocked out of them, forcing them to sit out for a few moments at a time. The two boys worried the sports med team when they were still on the ground, but both ended up alright.

At the end of the game, receiver Dominic Telemaque hit the ground after a player from GHHS tackled him, causing him to injure his knee. Two teammates helped the limping Telemaque back to the locker room. The boys lost by 12 points leaving the final score of the game 43-55.
