The album cover for Chris Young’s I’m Comin’ Over

Country superstar Chris Young dropped his fifth studio album titled, “I’m Comin’ Over” on November 13th and it has already reached #1 on the country charts. Senior Emily Byron said, “I’m in love with this album! Especially the duet with Cassadee Pope.”

There’s no other vocalist like Young in the country world today. His deep register makes it easy to fall in love with his ballads, like the title track, “I Know a Guy,” and “What If I Stay.” More up-beat and faster songs include, “You Do the Talkin’, “Alone Tonight,” and “Heatbeat.”

Young collaborated with NBC’s The Voice winner Cassadee Pope, and country music legend Vince Gill. Young’s career took off when he became the fourth winner of USA’s Nashville Star, which has also been responsible for the career of the chart-topping, female vocalist of the year Miranda Lambert. Not only do Young’s melodies come across strong, his lyrics know how to tell a story as well. For instance in his duet with Cassadee Pope “Think of You”, he says, “Same people and all the same faces, so why does it feel like a different place?” This is referring to a breakup and how his significant other is no longer around in the couple’s favorite places.

Fans should expect to hear a new single from Young in the coming weeks, and if they are eager to see him live, Young plans to embark on his world tour to promote the new album and looks forward to fans enjoying his new music.
