Wrestling had an okay season this year with a 4-4 record, beating Capital, Foss and Mt. Tahoma in our league. Senior Hosea Venezuela said, ”It wasn’t the best this year. We could’ve done better.” Our great wrestlers who went to state this year were seniors Calvin Fischer, Seth Earl and Chance Barg and junior Cody Davis.

Sadly, only one of our Cougs placed in state. It was a big accomplishment for Calvin Fischer, who placed 2nd at state. “My season went well. My win-loss record was 34-3. State was fun and it was great to spend the weekend with friends on the team,” said Fischer.

“I think next year we will do better, because we will have more freshmen coming up and the team could really use them,”said Cody Davis.
