The cheer team took over Silverdale stadium for the CK vs OLY game.

Grace Seabrook is an outgoing member of the CK cheer team, always cheering up others and making the sport extra fun. The cheer team often goes to practice one or two times in a week. There is a junior varsity and a varsity team with a total of thirty girls. Junior varsity goes to C team games. Seabrook stands in the back row all the way to the left and often is loud and proud.

As most people know, the cheer team has short dances they perform at the games. Seabrook and many other cheerleaders say “my favorite part about practice is when we review our dances.”

The team has about eight dances that they choose from at the games to get the crowd going. With rhythm and smiles the team dances along to the band tunes. A good chunk of the team has been cheering for over a year and continue to do the sport they love.

Seabrook, for one, has been cheering for three years and has been on four other teams from different schools. If a cheerleader has a huge and continuous love for cheer, they will go to college with a sports scholarship. Seabrook has possible plans of cheering in college instead of professionally on an all star team.

The cheer coach is Seabrook’s mom, and she has a sister on the varsity team, so she has much encouragement and the expectation to work even harder in her place on the team.
