There was a surprising number of people in attendance at the September 6th girls’ volleyball game against the Yelm Tornados. I had a difficult time finding a seat despite arriving early. The lady Cougs already knew coming in that Yelm has some heavy hitters in their line up. Their strategy was to play the team as a whole instead of focusing solely on Yelm’s strong players. Junior Cameron Kluge said, “ I think that we will beat Yelm three sets to zero.” The ladies stuck to the plan and prevailed. With the exception of the first match, they beat Yelm by a landslide. The game scores ended up being 26-24, 25-19, 25-14.
