Out of the many study areas in the school, the library is a major area for this purpose. Students from all grades come here to study, socialize, and read. The library is located on the third floor and is open from 7 a.m to 5 p.m from Mondays to Wednesdays and 7 a.m to 3:30 p.m on Thursdays and Fridays.

Although it is quite evident that students study at the library, some said they stay in the cafeteria during lunch to do homework. Logan Endter said, “I usually go to the library to pick up books I would normally read”. Endter also said that he avoided the library altogether because of how loud it is. Endter also said that he avoids the library unless he has to go and either print papers or acquire books that he would read. This was a common trend with students who do not regularly attend the library. Another student, Benjamin Guadamuz, said: “ I only go to get either manga or classes assigned books.” Guadamuz said that this was the only reason he goes.

Although it is a small demographic, some students complained about the abundance of noise in the library. Endter said, “I do think it’s quiet but in the morning it’s noisier.” This complaint did not come from very many people but it is important to note how loud the library can be in the morning. This might indicate a slight increase in the library being used as a socialization area rather than a complete study area. One can confirm this by walking into the library at any time when there are crowds of people (lunch, morning, after school) and listen.

The library will always remain a place for students to gather and work. Some prefer the library over others and usually use it as a regular tool.
