Student Reflection

Student Reflection

As the year comes to a close for the class of 2018 at our very own Central Kitsap High, it is a time for the final pieces of work to be completed. A time to prepare for graduation, celebrate, enjoy and recollect the times the class of 2018 has had through their high school career.

It is safe to say that all high school seniors have many memories throughout their career, if at least not one. For every grade they have gone through they have had new experiences, made new friends, improved academically, or achieved more than the previous year.

Logan Field, an outstanding CKHS senior, and who is highly involved in the CK Soccer team told the Cougar

Chronicle a few things about his time at CK.

“ I have truly grown as a student and as a person with my time here at CK, I have come to love all of my teachers, and most of all my friends who have stayed true.” He said that they are what he calls “The Private Club.” With those same friends he said “Since the first week of freshman year I started growing with them”. He recollected that how such a big place CK seemed to be, and now to him it is simply a second home that he has to part ways with. Logan added that the schools motto “Dedicated to Excellence” has been his goal since the day he heard it.

Logan has been seen on the broadcast a number of times, included below is a video of him in KUGR News.

The cougar chronicle came across not a senior, but sophomore Natalie Cole, who is still making her way through the process. After the Cougar Chronicle interviewed Logan, she had a few words of agreement with his statements.

She said that “I am only into my second year and after I listened to what Logan said, I realized all of it was true”.

“I think I’ve become a little bit of a better student through the year progressively. It wouldn’t be this way if it weren’t for my teachers that I care so much for inside and out of the classroom”.

Being a high school senior can be a great time, included is things such as just the fact that you are one, you’re known around the school, the Mock Crash, Prom,  etc, and most importantly, graduation day.
