Senior Griffin McCormick, a starting 2nd base/pitcher for our CK baseball team, loves what he does. McCormick has been playing baseball since he was five years old and has loved every year of it. “My favorite thing about baseball is spending time with my teammates and enjoying the outside weather,” said McCormick. He mentioned that it is a very mental sport and if you’re not mentally prepared, then it is a very difficult sport.

McCormick is going to play for Bellevue Community College and will be playing baseball for two years. He spends anywhere from 12-14 hours a week practicing and getting ready for upcoming games. “It’s very hard to balance school, baseball, and have a social life, so there is a lot of late nights for me,” he said. He will continue his baseball career and hopefully make it big someday.
