Taylor Wells, Reporter

Taylor Wells, she/her, born in 2007 and is currently 14 years old. Daughter of James and Jessica Magee, while older sister of 2 year old Isla, and 2 month old Jax.

Her hobbies include reading, drawing, writing, and playing video games; while at the same time listening to music or having a show playing in the background.

She absolutely loves reading manga (a type of Japanese graphic novel), including watching anime (another type of Japanese art form, only in film and animation). A few of her favorite mangas range from the mainstream, “The Promised Neverland,” to one's people may not know as well, for example, “Yuri Is My Job,” and, “A Witch’s Printing Press.”

When it comes to her academics, it can be a bit lacking at times. She has a tendency to procrastinate, waiting till the last minute, or even past the due date to turn in/do important work. Nevertheless, she’s able to get it done, knowing that a 20% is better than a 0% as a whole. She has done well enough that her report card doesn’t reflect those ‘small’ mistakes, showing A’s and B’s.

She chose to take journalism because it seemed genuinely interesting to her; it also helped that her mother also took journalism in high school but I digress. Taylor has always loved writing in general and taking a class that depends on a person’s writing skills on opinionated or quick to get topics seemed eye catching to her. So far, with each day, her interest in the writing styles of journalism grows with each lesson.
