Maria Skilling

Maria Skilling, Contributor

Senior Maria Skilling is a member of CKHS’ Journalism production class because the class helps with her writing and due to her being trilingual, the class also helps her understand the English language better. Skilling’s time spent in the production class can be described simply as fun and hard at the same time. She also likes when the editors give constructive criticism on her drafts because she really tries to improve her writing. Skilling’s strengths as a student come to play when others need help and an example would be when she tries to help other students understand a lesson that a teacher has taught. Overall, she is described as outgoing, social, strong for others, and is a helper both inside and outside of school. Outside of school, Skilling enjoys playing sports like volleyball and softball with her friends and family and she also enjoys going out with friends on free days. Another thing she enjoys doing is playing the ukulele and guitar, even through it’s something not many know. All in all, Skilling is a great member of the production team.
